External vs Internal Socket

What’s the Difference?

Cordero Handcrafted Lighting offers two different aesthetic socket options when purchasing our dome lighting. We will explain the differences so that you can make the best selection for your home or business.

External Socket:

Our external option utilizes an uno threaded keyless metal socket in your selected finish that attaches to the top of the dome shade. This is achieved by slipping the socket into the hole on the dome and securing with our provided knurled ring. *This option allows for the dome shade to be removed once installed.

Internal Socket:

Our internal socket option utilizes a streamlined rod in your selected finish that attaches to the top of the dome shade. A porcelain socket with a metal cup cover is located on the interior of the dome. *This option does not allow for the dome shade to be removed once installed.
